Eric Taylor, DVM
Dr. Eric Taylor received a Bachelor of Political Science from North Carolina State University in 1989
and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
Dr. Taylor grew up in Greensboro and attended Page High School. As a teenager, when not playing guitar in a rock band or driving a school bus, Eric worked for the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. At this job he enjoyed caring for and learning about a variety of animals, both wild and domestic. After college, Eric worked with Young Life here in Winston-Salem and continues to be involved with high school ministry.
Dr. Taylor pursued his dream to work in companion animal medicine and loves every aspect of it. He has a special love for small animal dentistry, orthopedics, and exotics, but is more than willing to tackle any pet issue that comes his way. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and the Forsyth County Veterinary Association.
When he's not improving the lives of companion animals in the triad, he likes to spend time with his wife Jennifer and their three children. The Taylor family has a few additional entertainers in the family, including , a Maltese named CeCe, a Chiweenie named Cooper, a Bernie Doodle named Gabby and their three cats Opie, Thelma Lou, and Chessie.

Emily Collins, DVM
Dr. Collins also graduated from NCSU college of Veterinary medicine in 1999. She has been with Reynolda Veterinary Hospital since the Fall of 2007. She has 2 dogs, Phoebe, and Sebi (pictured). She enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters, especially when they go to Disney.
Kristin O'Callaghan, DVM
Dr. Kristin O'Callaghan grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended LSU for both undergraduate and Veterinary School, from which she graduated in 2006. Together with her husband, Aaron, and her two dogs, Francis and Zeezoo, she moved to the Winston-Salem area from Louisville, Kentucky. She has special interest in Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her family, traveling to visit the in-laws in Ireland, and watching college sports, especially football. GEAUX TIGERS!
Janin Post, DVM
Dr. Post grew up in central Pennsylvania where she attended Bucknell University. Following graduation, she joined Teach For America and spent the next eight years teaching high school biology and chemistry near Phoenix, AZ while also earning a Master's degrees in both Secondary Education and Education Leadership. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Post volunteered in the veterinary clinic associated with the local animal rescue group. What started out as walking dogs, feeding cats, and folding laundry developed into a passion for veterinary medicine and in time, Dr. Post earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She spent the next year completing a one-year internship with the Denver Animal Shelter before relocating to Winston with her husband, Collin, two cats (Mako and Oscar), and slobbery Mastiff (Sin). They welcomed a daughter in September of '22.
Megan Burtnett Johnson, DVM
Dr. Burtnett grew up near St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Webster University and a Degree in Veterinarian Medicine from the University of Missouri. She is Fear Free Certified, a movement to prevent fear and anxiety of pets during veterinary visits. Her passions include surgery and ultrasound. Her and her husband moved to Winston Salem in 2019 and in their free time, enjoy fishing, hiking and camping with their two dogs, Penny and Kona. They also welcomed their first daughter, Mia, in August 2022.
Dr. Gilbert
Dr. Gilbert went to Purrkley College for his Bachelors degree and attended Purrdue for Vet School. He has been in the Vet field since 2021. His favorite food in catnip treats (bacon when Dr. Burtnett is not looking). He enjoys sleeping during appointments and people watching. His dislikes are large dogs and any type of over affection.
